As the head of Luanhe-Tianjin Water Diversion Project, it has a pumped storage power station, the first andthe largest in China. The technological innovation of flaring pierfor the purpose of energy dissipation is introduced in this Project. It won anational gold medal for excellent exploration and a national gold medal forexcellent design in 1987.
